Chef Shafer's Downtown Grill Room is a celebrated example of craftsman architecture in the California Mission style. The Depot was once a train station for the Los Angeles' Red Car Line, designed by Irving Gill and built in 1912. The original depot is what we know today as the Dining Room, and is recognized by the National Register of Historic Places.
